Digital product links are valid for 30 days, make sure to download your guide before the link expires.
If you haven't received the confirmation email with your digital download(s), please read the answer to "I didn't receive receive an email confirmation [..]" below.
If you have not received the email confirmation with your digital product link upon purchasing:
1. Ensure that the transaction/payment went through.

If you purchased the Parisian's Travel Guide on presale, you should have received an email on December 22nd, 2022, with a link to download your digital guide. Make sure to check your spam folder in case it's not in your inbox.
You can download your guide with the link in this email. You have 30 days to download the PDF (the link will expire). If you click the link on your computer the PDF will be downloaded (make sure to save it somewhere you can find it when you need it, the title of the PDF is "Hello Paris, A Parisian's Travel Guide by Hello French")
If you are on your phone, you can save the guide in various ways:
- on Dropbox, if you have an account (tap 'Save to my Dropbox')
or
- you can upload the file directly on your phone by clicking 'Export' or the save/upload icon. I usually save PDFs in my Files folder; you can do the same, too!
If you have not received the email announcing the release of the guide on December 22nd, please email orders@hellofrenchnyc.com with the full name and email address you provided at checkout and your order number if you have it. Please allow at least two business days for a response (we're a small team!).
The link to the Google Map can be found in the digital guide itself, and in the email confirmation you received following your purchase.
You can access the map on any digital device. We recommend opening the map using the Google Map app (tap the OPEN button, see below).
You will see all the pins in the Paris Guide and can read a short description of each. N.B.: when you open the map for the first time, all the categories will be checked, and all the pins will appear. You can filter your search by unchecking the categories you don't need (you can always check them again later).
Once you find a spot you’d like to visit, click on the pin to view the place. If you have a Google account, you can also save the pin to your own Google Maps. However, you cannot duplicate or save the entire map to your Gmail account. You also agreed not to share the Google Map or any Hello French digital products when you purchased them.
The audios are hosted on Dropbox - you don't need an account, but you do need an internet connection to access/listen to the recordings. We chose to host the audio recordings this way to avoid having a PDF file too large for you to download. That’s also why a new page opens when you tap the sound icon 🔉 on Le Bouquin or the associated audio links on the Parisian's guide.
If you’re opening the PDF on your iPhone, we recommend you save the PDF in your “Files” and toggle between the PDF and the audio page.
On your computer, we recommend you open your PDF and the Audio tab in separate windows and have them both visible (by splitting your screen, for example), so you can see the text while listening to the audio recordings.
Tap the Download link on your email confirmation and save it onto your Files folder on your iPhone. However, you have other options based on your preferences for saving PDF documents onto your phone (like Drop Box). I use "Files" myself.
Some people prefer to download it on their computer first and then Airdrop it to their phones (but the PDF saving process is the same as it would be for any digital files with a PDF format).
From experience and feedback from other French learners, using Le Bouquin on your computer (or iPad) may be a more enjoyable learning as the screen is more extensive, and you can easily toggle between the audio files and the PDF.
